In 1999, too,
Societą Italiana Numismatica took part in the Numismata
exhibition, which was mounted c/o the Vicenza
Show from October 1st to 3rd,
1999.
Following the
success gained earlier on by this educational
step, a Workshop was hosted on that occasion, too
(Oct. 2nd).
The topic at issue
last year, Domestic coins and foreign coins
in Italy, started-up from the subject
debated during the Second Numismatic Symposium
held in Cambridge, titled Local coins,
foreign coins: Italy and Europe (11th-15th
centuries). So, the workshop represented,
first of all, the opportunity to acquaint a large
and no doubt very interested Italian public with
the scientific outcome of the English Symposium,
whose proceedings have been published by Societą
Numismatica Italiana in the second volume of Collana
di Numismatica e Scienze Affini.
